2026 National Urban and Community Forestry Challenge Cost Share Grant Program

This grant supports practical, creative and replicable projects that turn wood from urban tree pruning, removals, storms or pest outbreaks into products such as lumber, furniture, flooring or biochar, strengthening local economies and resilience. It funds community-based wood-utilization efforts that align with existing forestry plans, follow safety standards, and create jobs, training or certification opportunities.
