Advanced Manufacturing (AM)

This grant supports fundamental research to revitalize American manufacturing and enhance national prosperity and security. It funds multidisciplinary projects that transform manufacturing capabilities, methods, and practices, including work on manufacturing systems, materials processing, machines, cyber-manufacturing, and nanomanufacturing, especially when proposals cross domain boundaries.
