Advanced Technologies and Instrumentation for the Astronomical Sciences (ATI)

This grant funds individual or collaborative research to develop new technologies and instrumentation for ground-based astronomy and astrophysics, including advanced technology development, feasibility studies, and specialized hardware or software that enable observations not possible with existing tools. It supports innovative, potentially high-risk projects that advance the Division of Astronomical Sciences’ science goals.
