Bio-based chemicals and/or materials from woody residues

This program funds projects that demonstrate techno-economic feasibility of innovative pathways to turn woody residues—such as thin branches, leaves and needles—into bio-based chemicals or materials, increasing their availability and sustainability. It aims to improve forest-based value chains and the end-of-life performance of these bio-based products.
