BJA FY 2026 Residential Substance Abuse Treatment for State Prisoners – Formula Grants Program

This grant provides formula funding to state, local and tribal governments to expand residential substance use disorder treatment for adult and juvenile populations in detention or incarceration. It supports initiating or continuing evidence-based treatment in jails, preparing individuals for community reintegration, and delivering community-based treatment and after-care services during and after reentry.
