Cellular and Molecular Biology of Complex Brain Disorders (R01 Clinical Trial Not Allowed)

This grant supports research on the biology of high-confidence risk factors for complex brain disorders, focusing on intracellular, transcellular, and circuit mechanisms. It funds hypothesis-generating or hypothesis-testing studies using in vivo, in situ, or in vitro models, including model organisms and human cell-based assays, to elucidate neurobiological impacts of individual or combined risk factors.
