Community Forest and Open Space Conservation Program

This grant provides financial assistance to Indian Tribes, local governments, and qualified conservation non-profit organizations to acquire private forest land and create community forests. It funds projects that protect forestland from non-forest conversion, offer public recreation, environmental and economic benefits, and support forest-based education, with required public access.
