Cooperative Agreement for affiliated Partner with Gulf Coast Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit

This grant funds bioinformatic analysis of avian microbiome metatranscriptomic datasets, focusing on genome assembly-based identification of viruses, prokaryotes, and eukaryotes, especially wildlife and zoonotic pathogens. Awardees will analyze shotgun data to determine microbial taxonomy, diversity, and abundance across hosts, tissues, and regions, and create reproducible workflows and public data products.
