This program funds research to develop methods for assessing the presence, functions and sensitivity of groundwater ecosystems. It supports work that improves knowledge for policymakers, raises awareness of pollution and overexploitation risks, and provides scientific evidence to aid EU water policy and protection of groundwater biodiversity.
