Division of Integrative Organismal Systems Core Programs (IOS)
This grant supports research on why organisms are structured and function as they do, covering areas such as developmental biology, nervous system evolution, biomechanics, physiology, symbioses, genomics, and behavior. Proposals should focus on organisms as fundamental units and use systems approaches to generate conceptual insights and predictions about emergent properties. Collaborative projects that integrate multiple subdisciplines are encouraged.
