Emerging Infections Network - Research for Preventing, Detecting, and Managing Travel-associated Infectious Diseases

This grant funds research that generates insights into detection, prevention, burden, diagnostics, treatment and outcomes of infectious diseases in international travelers. It supports projects that improve outbreak detection speed, develop patient-care guidelines, enhance understanding of disease natural history, and advance genomic surveillance and global health security, through clinic-based sentinel networks or sentinel detection in transportation hubs.
