Engineering for Civil Infrastructure (ECI)

This grant supports fundamental research in geotechnical, structural, materials, architectural, and coastal engineering to improve the nation’s civil infrastructure. It funds projects that address resilience, sustainability, climate-change adaptation, and disaster mitigation for buildings, earth-retaining structures, flood protection, water and wastewater systems, energy (non-nuclear) and transportation infrastructure.
