F26AS00071 Cooperative Endangered Species Conservation Fund: Habitat Conservation Plan Land Acquisition Grants

This grant provides matching funds to State agencies for land acquisition projects that permanently conserve habitat for listed species through fee-simple purchases or permanent conservation easements. It supports work that reduces conflicts between species protection and other land uses on parcels linked to approved Habitat Conservation Plans. The acquisition complements, but does not replace, the mitigation and monitoring commitments of those plans.
