Integrating Biospecimen Science Approaches into Clinical Assay Development (U01 Clinical Trial Not Allowed)

This grant supports extramural research to study how preanalytical variability in tumor tissue biopsies, liquid biopsy blood samples, and other biospecimens affects the development and analytical validation of clinical assays. Projects will investigate collection, processing, and storage conditions and their impact on emerging biomarkers across testing platforms, aiming to standardize biospecimen handling for faster assay development.
