Limited Competition: Centers of Biomedical Research Excellence: Development Phase (COBRE-D) (P30 - Clinical Trial Not Allowed)

This grant supports institutions in IDeA states to build biomedical research capacity in a strategic scientific area where they lack infrastructure or expertise. It funds recruitment and mentoring of early-career investigators, start-up packages for new hires, research facility establishment, and enhanced administration support. It is an on-ramp toward later COBRE phases.
