National Facilities

This grant supports the operation of national user facilities that provide specialized instrumentation for the scientific research community, especially materials research. It funds open-user services and resources for disciplines such as biology, chemistry, geosciences, materials research, and physics, including high magnetic fields, synchrotron radiation, neutron scattering, and nanofabrication, as well as related education and outreach activities.
