Neuromodulation/Neurostimulation Device Development for Mental Health Applications (R21 Clinical Trial Not Allowed)

This grant encourages development of next-generation brain stimulation devices for mental health, either by creating novel technologies beyond existing electrical or magnetic methods or by substantially improving spatial resolution, depth, or precision of FDA-cleared devices. It funds multidisciplinary teams that can advance hardware or software to achieve multi-focal, closed-loop approaches.
