This grant provides practical help to protect journalists under threat, offering advice, legal support, shelter, logistical assistance and, when needed, financial aid. It also funds monitoring of press-freedom violations across the EU and Creative Europe participating countries, publishing alerts and regular reports, and supports anti-impunity advocacy and visits to affected nations.
