NIJ FY 2026 Research and Evaluation on Justice System Responses to Illegal Immigration

This grant funds rigorous, applied research and evaluations of adult criminal-justice system challenges and responses to illegal immigration and crimes by illegal aliens at state, local, and tribal levels. It supports studies of court operations, law-enforcement practices, detention, fraud investigations, and innovative local strategies, including cooperation across jurisdictions, to identify and assess effective, data-driven solutions.
