This program funds projects that develop area-based management tools, protection targets and adaptive approaches for deep-sea regions, including identifying ecologically significant marine areas and supporting maritime spatial planning. It supports work that provides science-based information, habitat mapping and ecosystem-based strategies to help public authorities meet biodiversity and climate adaptation goals.
