Resource assessment for deep sedimentary and basement reservoirs

This program funds projects that develop advanced methods, technologies and conceptual models to assess deep sedimentary and basement reservoirs for geothermal exploitation, addressing data scarcity and low permeability at depths of 2000-6000 m. It supports work that increases knowledge for developers, improves drilling success, enhances geothermal performance, and evaluates environmental and social impacts.
