Science of Learning and Augmented Intelligence (SL)

This grant supports transformative research that develops basic theoretical insights into the principles, processes, and mechanisms of learning and how human cognition can be augmented through interaction with others, technology, or context. It funds studies of learning at any level—from molecular to social—and work on principled ways to improve design, decision-making, and problem-solving using collaborative models and artificial intelligence.
