Support for Research Excellence (SuRE) Award (R16 Clinical Trial Not Allowed)

This grant supports investigator-initiated biomedical research in basic, social, clinical, behavioral, or translational science at eligible higher-education institutions. It funds full-time faculty without current NIH Research Project Grants to build research capacity, provide high-quality undergraduate or graduate research experiences, and strengthen the institution’s scientific culture.
