Toward a comprehensive assessment of the disturbance of marine ecosystems by anthropogenic underwater noise

This program funds research that develops and improves scientific methods, tools and indicators for monitoring and assessing how continuous and impulsive anthropogenic underwater noise affects marine organisms, ecosystems and their services, including cumulative impacts and regional differences. It also supports work investigating mitigation options to protect ecosystem services such as carbon sequestration.
