Trapped-Ion Platform Technologies

This program will advance Europe’s leadership in trapped-ion quantum computing by building a full-stack ion-trap computer with over 1,000 qubits, integrating it with high-performance computing and cloud access. It funds work that demonstrates quantum advantage for real-world applications, develops modular, interoperable architectures, and implements advanced error-correction and fault-tolerant techniques.
